When dealing with a Certificate of Documentation, such as getting a certified copy, a replacement, or deletion, it’s important to know there exists a form for each one of these options. Let’s take a look at them so you can figure out which one you need.
Applying For A Certified Copy Of Documentation
If you need a copy of your USCG documentation, you can fill the form at the following link.
Copy of your USCG documentation has a cost of $70.00. You will have to provide vessel and personal information, as well as a physical address. In case of any issue regarding the form since there can be changes over time, feel free to email us at: SUBMISSIONS@USVESSELDOCUMENTATION.CENTER
You can also pay in advance for the renewal of your USCG Documentation. This way you can eliminate the possibility of reinstatement fees in case you forget to pay your early certificate. You can find the costs of advanced payment on our website.
Getting a Replacement Certificate Of Documentation
In case your USCG Documentation gets lost or shows signs of mutilation, you can ask for a replacement here.
Bear in mind that that information on your Application for Replacement does not imply any kind of changes on your USCG Documentation other than the address of the managing owner. If there are any changes (other than address), additional submissions and/or fees may be necessary. Documentation will keep its original expiration date and current day of issue.
If any, you must inform the Official Number, hull ID, International Maritime Organization (IMO) number, hailing port, and managing owner contact information as well as physical address and social security or tax ID number.
Deleting USCG Documentation
A deletion request for a Certificate of Documentation must be in writing and include both the vessel’s official name and reason for deletion. The owner or an authorized agent on behalf of the owner can ask for it. The original Certificate of Documentation is to be returned by the owner named on the certificate. You must provide evidence of sale or transfer AND a statement indicating the nationality of the owner and/or country in which the vessel will be flagged. The price for deletion of a USCG Documentation is $80.00.
